Brave the web browser have announced Brave Pay and a Brave Rewards debit card.

It’s going to be a debit card that gives cashback in their BAT Coin.

You can earn BAT coin on the browser anyway by seeing adds they approve. I’ve been using Brave for years and have loads of BAT coin in my wallet but never used it.

On their post about it, it looks like 3% cashback in BAT Coin if you spend with the card.

Looks cool to be honest so I might get it when they release it.

Also they say about being able to have your Mastercard, Visa & AMEX cards within the Brave Wallet for quick checkout.

That debit card is worse than Santander. They could’ve gone white, with the brave lion :lion: centred or in a HSBC lion card style.

Also not sure on having my card details stored on a browser like that, however built on privacy they claim to be.

I do agree on the card design. Could be so much better. I know that Brave is very community driven and they do listen to their users. So maybe Brave Card V2 we could encourage them :rofl:

Also in terms of adding my cards to Brave Wallet, I won’t be adding my cards but I will use the Brave Debit Card.

I will be honest though. Brave is one of my favourite and secure browsers. I understands its just Chrome underneath but it is very good for keeping login’s secure, sessions and encryption.

I was using it infrequently on my laptop before I wiped it for fydeos. I think I can download Brave for it though the chromium based browser installed as standard works a treat as it is.

Well when the card launches I’ll hop into the community and feed back my Thoughts :joy:

Brave has launched a wait list for the Brave Rewards Card.

What can you do with BAT coin ? What can you pay for with BAT coin ? How can you monetize BAT coin ?

You earn it via seeing targeted ads on Brave. (but i’ve never noticed them to be honest). It then holds them in a wallet within Brave and you can sell them for something else or hold them. I am just holding mine at the moment. But this new scheme means you can earn them in cashback from spending on their reward card.

If you read the top link I sent Brave say you will be able to spend the BAT Coin on the Reward Card which from looking at documents is going to be a Mastercard. So it be like Revolut Crypto card but using their own BAT Coin.

I would be shocked as well but the UK is their 2nd biggest market. Brave Corporate say they have roughly 1 to 2 million active UK users.

So I would say they are gonna make the UK a target audience for the card.

I assume that Brave Pay / Brave Rewards Card must be close ish…

I am now getting notifications while just browsing about it. They are keen to spread the word about it.
