So when I first moved from starling business to Monzo. I think it was the Monzo pots that sold me. Connecting cards to them in specific. To organise business expenses and bills.
It was worth the £5 upgrade.
Now Starling offer this same feature free. In the next tax year next April 2026. I will probably switch over back to my Starling Business account.
Just curious before I do that. Are there any good reasons why I should stay with Monzo Business and continue paying this new £9 per month (£100 per year), things Monzo Business offers that Starling doesn’t have.
It’s all about preference, some people prefer all eggs one one basket (personal, joint, child accounts and business accounts), while others would rather they were separate.
If you feel the fees are too heavy with monzo it makes financial sense to move to Starling; who also offer majority of the above.
Yeah I have a few fifferent travel cards and savings accounts and a stocks account..kinda used to not having everything in one place. Do currently use Monzo personal as my main account and for this property business that I have had for 20 years.
Monzo Business is my main account for that.
I am lazy tho at these type of tasks.
I would save a £100 a year so it’s worth some effort.
But maybe I will just cancel Monzo Plus and just move my Monzo pots to Starling and use Starling for that and Monzo for everything else.
Yeah..pretty easy for me as all my income comes via direct debits which I can just change in 2 minutes. Unless I change my mind I think I will cancel Monzo plus as the only thing I use is the virtual cards. And then the few expenses I use virtual cards for I will just route that to Starling’s free virtual cards and ‘Spaces’ (Monzo Pots equivalents).
