Benidorm

I’m just trying to find out if people have been Benidorm and what it’s like and is it expensive

You might want to have a read or search in this topic, and perhaps ask in there:

I have been Benidorm, It’s okay, but you have to be careful where you walk, Especially at night

Has anyone been to the Bude Tunnel?

Why what happens at night

Mainly drunk people being robbed and SA”d Sometimes

Just it’s okay just don’t get too drunk! Bearing in mind I am basing this off hearsay, Not actual experience, As I didn’t leave the hotel at night :joy:

Yes. Benidorm received 2,766,366 travellers last year.

Property prices are much less expensive than Kensington, so, no, it is not expensive.

I won’t be leaving my hotel

My sister went there and seemed to enjoy it. Apparently, it was rather inexpensive.

It’s not somewhere I’d choose to go, personally.

I put on (and have now lost) quite a bit of weight around 15 years ago but nobody ever suggested I was as large as a Spanish municipality.

Go to a rough estate anywhere in England and then think about the same being there in Benidorm. That’s pretty much what it is like.

If you go outside of the “brit” area and to the older parts of the city it’s actually very nice.

My grandparents have lived 10 minutes down the road in a quieter town for 25 years. Benidorm is what it is, cheap booze and British food in the sun with a relatively low cost of living. You’ll still get €2 pints and other drink offers during the day, spirits will be closer to UK prices and prices for both go up on a night.

The water parks are decent for something to do, and the theme park (Terra Mitica) is alright - go in the afternoon if you do - it used to be cheaper after a certain time and the queues much shorter for the rides (not been for 5+ years so not sure if it’s still the same).

The bus services are cheap and regular, hop on the number 10 to Altea for a bit of culture of an old Spanish town and better restaurants then you’ll find in Benidorm.

I loved Altea when I went, you can also take the tam to Calp when it’s back open (was under engineering works in October)

As anyone been there in the winter I’m going on the 2nd of December
