Thatāll make sense as Iāve never received a notification in the past. Today was the first time I got the notification and the first time I hadnāt opened the app in the morning
If you have a multiple use cashback offer, it would be good if the details included something along the lines of:
āYou have claimed Ā£17.33 of the Ā£25 for this retailerā
it looks like we donāt send new offer notifications if youāve already activated one of the new offers, but let me know if that wasnāt the case and I can investigate further
Iām curious now though⦠would you expect a notification if youāve already activated one of them?
If Iāve activated them all = No notification
If Iāve cherry picked = No notification
If Iāve activated 0 = āThereās new cashback offersā
could you DM me your email so I can take a look?
Thought initially I hadnāt got a notification about the new offers either, but then noticed it was sandwiched between some payment notifications I hadnāt cleared yet. Doh.
Pleased to see the return of the multi-use offers, making use of those will be much less stressful and much more productive.
(Though it does mean I need to re-plan my next supermarket trip )
I could have made this clearer
The new offers launch at 1am (because itās summer and timezones are confusing), but we send the new offer notifications later in the day around 10am
If youāve activated any of the new offers between 1am and 10am then you wouldnāt receive the new offers notification
I like this idea. Gives you an idea of how much you could still claim.
If iāve activated any of the new offers, I wouldnāt expect a notification.
If I havenāt activated any (regardless of if iāve already had a nosey) then I think a notification would be useful.
I also think any new offers should be highlighted in some way, so I know which are new.
I do have a few questions now that iāve used it a few times:
- If/when this becomes publicly available, will it to be open to everyone, or limited to certain types of customers (Flex, Plus/Premium, etc.)
- Will you have āflash dealsā, where an offer might be available for a limited time (āMust activate offer today, and use within 1 weekā as an example).
- Itās been mentioned before, but any plans to allow people to āretroactivelyā activate an offer? Say, within 60 mins, or 24 hours?
- Will money in the cashback āpotā expire? So if I donāt move it into my account/pot, will it just stay there indefinitely?
- Any plans to allow āauto withdrawā? So say on the 1st of each month, the money in my cashback pot will be moved to my instant savings pot?
So glad to see Dunelm back on the list! Now we can remember to buy those curtains we forgot to buy the first time round
Ā£4.38 cashback from the last round. With no Gregās or Sainsbury on new list no cashback on this round.
Yes, I would expect a notification.
There is no other way of the account holder knowing that the cashback offer that they choose was "new " and that there may be others they might be interested in.
You canāt expect customers to know that Monzo always update their offers on x day/time every month
But wonāt you have already been in the cashback screen and seen them when you activated one of them?
Unless they made new offers standout some how
Not necessarily.
From this thread, its obvious a lot of people activate an offer (Greggs, supermarkets etc) just before they plan to use it.
That doesnāt mean they pay attention to the other offers listed at that point.
How about:
The date the offer was added is displayed (maybe before/after the expiry ādateā)
Giving us the ability to sort the offers (alphabetically, added date, activated date, expiry date, etc.).
I would much rather see my list in alphabetical order.
I assume we need to use our card and not pay with Apple Pay?
It still works with Apple and Google Pay.
I think a notification is useful even if youāve seen them. The only reason I may have seen them first is because I knew we were expecting new ones. Maybe just a banner in app but no notification pop?
