@iankent Feedback from today:

1. Like the new (at least I think it is) cashback notification when I spend. It is nice to see what I how much cashback I got for my transaction without having to go into the app.
2. I just bought a small amount of products from Morrisons (most likely because of the cashback). But now I can’t use the cashback again - even though it would likely have brought me back into Morrisons multiple times over the next month so I feel like it is lose-lose.
3. It might be worth allowing people to deactivate individual offerings in case they want to hold off for a bigger purchase.

The Costa was in the odeon foyer, but most definitely a Costa but did not get cash back?

I have experienced this before in Costa Odeon New Street and was told (different scheme provider) that it didn’t qualify as was a franchise, not a true Costa

That’s because it’s “single-use” as you may well know.

I got round it by £160 worth of Morrisons gift cards. Now I can do as many shops there as I like, until money gone, all effectively at 12% cashback, paid up front

So it works?! For some reason, I thought it’d trace onto the transaction. Don’t know if that’s possible but when you scan a gift card at checkout there’s usually an ‘activation’ screen for a few seconds and it takes longer to process the payment.

Worked instantly for me.

Scanned gift card at self service. Typed in amount. Hit Pay and then used my physical Monzo card (rare that) just to make sure no issues via Google Pay (such as GP using wrong card )

Cashback notification appeared on my phone before I’d picked up my purchase
