BBC Rebrand

Funny you say that, because I’ve always seen this as a speaker with a collection of records stacked next to it.

This topic has been really interesting, it’s wild how differently people see these logos. I’m sure The BBC have done all the market research though and these convey what they were hoping.

I agree with the speaker and records. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Not my idea/image but I would reckon this would have been better. Psychologically I think something watching like an eye/camera straight on gives an instant you are being monitored don’t speed.

Once seen, it cannot be unseen.

I think lens, viewfinder, hot shoe flash?

The more you look at it, the less it makes any sense.

It is, it’s a Kreuznach Radionar lens.
They’re quite old and was one of the first lenses to have a internal iris making it perfect for olden days cinematographers.
They’re pretty valuable too, I recently saw a program where they attached one to a modern camera and it gave it a unique look.

Blame S.P. for drawing it and R.M. for signing off on it.

lol just had edited to say that too.

Shakes fist at R.M. you had one job.

I mean, people took the mickey out of the BBC Three rebrand when it happened a few years back saying it was eerily similar to Siobhan Sharpe’s logo design from W1A…

…but this is incredible, I hope Perfect Curve are receiving royalties :joy:
