I have lots of scheduled withdrawals from my bills pot to pay for things like Netflix, Spotify and other card payments that aren’t direct debits.
Since they aren’t direct debits, I can’t make them come out of a pot. So this is why you scheduled withdrawals.
But now I have loads of arbitrary odd amounts in my schedule payments coming from my bills part and I don’t know which one is which.
To help with managing this and making sure that the correct payments are the correct amounts at the correct dates, it would be helpful to add notes to the scheduled withdrawals so I can tag them as Spotify, Netflix, or something else.
I use a Bills pot and have automated transactions for each bill that gets paid out from the Bills pot.
Example, water bill, £50, and then there is an automated transaction that moves £50 to the Bills pot.
When you look at the upcoming transactions you can see all the pot transfers that are going to happen. It would be good to be able to add a note that says what that transfer is for.
I have a number of automated payments from my personal and joint accounts to various pots. I do these as individual transactions so that I can ensure these are 1:1 with what is going out. I also add a bit more so that I can use this as round up money at the end of the month. When prices change as they do. It’s very difficult to know what they’re connected to. It would be good to at least use the tag function to add this so it will automatically apply. Ideally there should be a way to label the transfer with an optional reference field.
