Splitting bills is a great feature, as is the running tab. However, for some situations, for example a large group all chipping in to cover payments such as a restaurant bill, it is impractical to send individual payments to everyone.
This situation is resolved quite easily by using the request money via Monzo.me feature. What would be a great addition to this is being able to associate incoming payments with another outgoing payment so I can more easily track who has paid their fair share without having to sift through my bank statement

This simplest answer is everyone just pay their own share.

But that doesn’t satisfy the suggestion. If one person has put the money down to streamline the payment, or if the situation doesn’t allow multiple transactions, for example putting a restaurant deposit down or paying for a group event booking online, then being able to send a request to a group chat with a Monzo.me link, and then associating the requested money with the initial transaction, would be a very useful accounting feature

If you send the links individually they will, or should, assign to the spend.

It’s probably easier for Monzo to create a payment link for a pot than it is to link transactions.
