Now this is something interesting

How long before Google decide to bring this to Google wallet?

But seriously this is a great feature, and definitely shows the UK banking system in a good light

Hahah probably at next Google I/O :rocket:

I’m curios how deep will they go, will they have budgeting across accounts etc or just keep it simple and just show the info per account…

Awesome! This has been rumoured for quite a while too (since their acquisition of Credit Kudos). This may pave the way for Apple Pay Later in the UK too.

Privacy focused, as it should be. If I hadn’t already ditched Monzo Plus, this would have cinched it, and leeches it of any remaining value IMO.

Only 4 banks on board to start with though. Barclays, Lloyds, RBS, and Starling.

There is scope for this, once they have the data. They already have toolings built for Apple Card and Apple Pay later that are very Monzo trends-esque. So it’s certainly possible they could add those features for UK banks as well.

Becoming the front end for banking has been one of their long term fintech ambitions. And I don’t think they could really claim that, without something a bit more fledged out than transactions and balance.

I’m sure the number of supported banks will go up quite fast or at least I’m hoping it will :crossed_fingers:

Great to see, bit worrying if Monzo aren’t supporting from the start though. Their Apple support has been lacking recently - Old out dated iOS widget still kicking around, removing Siri Payments. Hopefully it’s in the works & will follow quickly!

Edit - it’s been updated :joy:, this is what was there previously. I had tried to find a source link, but no press release from Apple yet?

Love this!

Would be great for Monzo and revolut to join in as those are my two in use.

The article states that Monzo will be in the initial roll out.

It does now… It definitely didn’t say that 30 minutes ago

Then it’s been quietly updated. Monzo and HSBC were missing at the time it was shared here.

Did you read the article?

Supporting banks in this initial rollout include Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, RBS, Monzo, and Starling.

They probably did yes. Monzo and HSBC were not there 30 minutes ago.

Calm down @Revels the article has been updated

Perfectly calm. Giving the info they hadn’t seen.

And also suggesting they hadn’t bothered to read the article before commenting on it. Not the best thing to do.

It’s the retort Did you read the article? that comes off as aggressive. Especially when it was very clear from the posts above yours that the article has been updated in the time between their post and yours.

Yep. People had clearly read the article and as the information they had was different, it was almost certainly updated.

Anyway, seems like a good improvement and will hopefully come to both Google and Samsung Wallet soon, alongside other banks being included.

All posted 3m ago, exactly the same time as my post.

Isn’t one of the forum rules not to infer tone?

Oh no. What’s happening. Can we go back to the article .

Is this available now?
