Apple One

It came via email along with my latest bill. It also popped up when I opened Apple Music.

I guess everyone will be billed the normal amount and notified of increased cost going forward from next cycle

So it has!

I don’t remember seeing any email about it nor a notification in app.

I suspect it’ll remain as a smart benefit for now, it’s not a sizeable difference.

You can also see the new price in the subscriptions section in settings app

Mine still shows £29.95 but I guess it’ll update.

So does mine but if you click on the subscription then click see more plans, the new prices show.

I mean I don’t doubt the prices are going up  I just haven’t had any notifications from Apple yet :man_shrugging:

 ahh ok , soz I misunderstood

Mine renewed this morning but I haven’t had a notification it’s going up in price :person_shrugging:

I wonder if they’re giving users ~28 days notice before their next increased payment - so you’ll get yours in the next couple of days.

I heard that the pricing might be going up and though I haven’t been informed when I go to my current subscription and see all options the prices are increased:

Current above, and new options below:

Damn £36.95 a month, didn’t it start at about £27/28/29ish when it release a couple of years ago?

Ooof. Was thinking of going to Premier for Fitness+, no longer am thinking it.

I may downgrade to the middle one. I had it for the Fitness+ but I don’t think I have used it since getting a Pelaton.

Was £30 when it first launched. Since then Apple Music has had one price hike, TV+ two, Arcade one, News one and iCloud storage one.

Collectively, all the services you get in premier have increased by £13, whilst the bundle has increased by £7. The percentage proportion is roughly similar at the lower tiers too.

Because of the way they’re structured, I’m not actually saving anything with premier. Instead I’m effectively getting News+ for free (I don’t use it) and the iCloud data for free, but it’s the same price it would cost to buy all the others separately (if I paid annually for the two months free on services where possible).

If you use all the services it’s definitely a good offer, we had it when it first came out but never used arcade, news+ or fitness+ in the end so was totally not worth it.

For me it’s all about music (with family sharing), tv+, and fitness+. I use all three at least on a weekly basis. And the 2TB iCloud storage plus iCloud+ are things I’ve grown to rely on too. Apple Arcade is a good value service too, I’ve no doubt, and the games I’ve played on it are good. I have quite a few arcade games installed, I just very very rarely play them.

News+ I hardly ever use, and wish there was a tier in between that didn’t have it.

We did use the Fitness+ stuff when it first launched but only lasted a few weeks at best lol. Would be nice to build your own tier but that will never happen for obvious reasons!

Felt like a no brainer at a fiver.

But at £7, it’s only a quid less than PC Gamepass and the value proposition just feels off to me.

I’ve cancelled and will see if the kids moan enough to start paying again.

I’ve had Arcade for well over a year and I’ve played one game, and I don’t even play that often.
