App Evolution (new look Monzo app): Feedback Megathread 📣

This seems strange to me. The extras I get with Extra don’t need their own tab. It’s mostly just links to other places, surely it makes sense to go in the Explore tab? Explore how I can do all the things I pay for.

It seems a little backwards that as paid user, I get a more cluttered UI.

Hard agree. I’ve never really understand the point of this, I think somewhere in Monzo someone once thought ‘wouldn’t it be great if everything people paid to get was also on it’s own tab’ and that has stuck through multiple iterations.

I’d much rather they just ‘existed’ in the app by themselves, or were put into the explore tab

Agree. I only go in the my Perks tab for Greggs occasionally and credit insights. If credit insights could be on the main tab along with Mortgage, Gregs can go wherever. Perhaps instead of the upgrade button in the top left although would prefer that just to go entirely from the home page, along with the refer a friend button.

Credit insights is on the main tab, scroll right down. It is for me.

I didn’t get signed up for the new test before it closed so I’m going by the current released version.

You’ve covered all the points I was going to make, after reviewing the updated look myself, so no point me repeating them tbh.

If I find something unmentioned, I’ll come back and comment then.

I’ve noticed that on the first heading, Spending and budgeting, it mentions cashback but there’s no tile about it. Also, if this is the budgeting section, what about including a tile on Trends? One that gives you info on Trends, not just a hyperlink to the Trends tab.

Under credit and borrowing section, I would expect to see a tile about credit reports here as well.

I would repost all the above comments and agree so no further comments from myself.

Since the new explore has been enabled on my account my roundups to my investment pot have gone strange.

When I view my personal account this is what the Thursday investment looks like.

I’m very much sure it didn’t look like that before.

Also to flag that investments shows in scheduled payments but if you tap on it I get this… It’s never worked but since I’m raising this about investments I thought it worth flagging again

Thanks :+1:. I did think it was an odd thing to break with this update, but it was only after the update that this has started happening. Coincidence perhaps :rofl:

I’ve got exactly that too

I have been think the same - for paid users the app is very cluttered. I’m often thinking to myself “but where is that?”

Deeply wish on ‘search’ you could also look for features / settings!

Can anyone tell me how I change the number of transactions shown on the activity feed? I’ve tried the in-app help to no avail, and hunted around various menus and drawn a blank.

Edit. Just checked my business account and I have 3 dots to “Edit activity”. Don’t have that on my personal account, I have a search option.

Perhaps something missing from the new experimental layout @ConnorPB?
