Hello everyone!

It’s been quite a while since you’ve all been able to pick the brains of Monzonauts so let’s change that.

I’ve currently got a line up of quite a few staff who’ve kindly been willing to donate their time to spend it on here with us to help explain how they keep Monzo running in their own special way.

I want to keep this going as long as possible so I’d be keen to hear what parts of the Monzo world you want to hear from and I can then chase them down :ear:

(But if that’s unachievable could Jonas perhaps pop in? I’m keen to hear how the tech stack is evolving and what the split is between tech and product etc).

Someone who deals with the Google Export, or anyone at Monzo that has built their own dashboard. Always curious to see what others have built.

I’d also like to hear from whoever has oversight of marketing and engagement (I mainly mean the recent “hello, fellow kids” social media attempts)

You’d be bringing them to the slaughter house! I wouldn’t want them having to fend off questions from never has anything nice to say Peter on my conscience! :joy:

In all seriousness, I’d personally love to see a proper q&a with @MattFisher. I also think it’d be nice for us UK based folks to poke the US team a little if that’s possible.

Someone from Customer Service, to explain what’s happening in this area and next steps.

Some more ideas:

  • Next steps for the Paid products!
  • Someone to talk through an old experiment, what you were looking for and what the answers were (imagine that we were a year on from this)
  • Someone from the counter fraud team to talk about current fraud patterns and trends and what Monzo is doing to combat it
  • Someone who worked on PSD2 and what happened behind the scenes
  • A retrospective from Plus v1 - what went wrong and what was learnt
  • Someone who’s been at Monzo since the be beginning (or thereabouts) who can reflect on changes and different “feels” to the company
  • Anyone from the C suite

One name… Yehudi!

He might not be a name super familiar to forum folks. But he’s been at the company since 2016, has been involved in so many different awesome things, was one of my closest colleagues, and I’m confident that if y’all heard from him on here you would love him as much as I do. Because he’s a truly awesome human being, and so incredibly thoughtful and has seen it all at the company.
He’s long overdue for some forum presence :sunglasses:

I also would like to know what else going to be added to paid products.

£15 is hardly worth it. I don’t really care about the metal card. I joined Monzo when Beta started as Hot Coral was the hottest thing around.

Mobile insurance - free via work.

Majority of the offers - free via work, in fact why are there so few offers anyway? I am betting Monzo employees have access to a lot more offers surely.

Credit tracking - free via money supermarket

Virtual card - ok nice, but I love Monzo as it’s secure enough as it is - instant updates, approvals for online purchases are now required by law.

1.5% interest on 2000 is hardly worth it vs majority of the competitive savings account (not even talking about bonded ones)

I know this comment is rather negative - I do love Monzo :slight_smile:
