That would work incredibly well, however I suspect their current merchant data infrastructure proves too much of a problem, it would probably take too much work for such a small aspect of their app.
I’m a lyrics curator for MusixMatch and user-submitted lyrics are verified by us. It shows a list of reports by users in-app and we can easily and quickly act upon them.
Something like this for members of the 
coral crew would be awesome. They are already trusted members of the community and I’m sure they would happily contribute to Merchant corrections.
I know this is not a priority for Monzo but more and more people seem to be talking about it. Merchant enrichment is great, but there’s no point in it if it’s not correct, no matter how quick it is to fix.
