I’ve not got the option yet - but if they don’t accept BACS or CHAPS, erm, how do you get money into the account?

I just transferred from my savings account with them, but faster payments will work.

BACS is a 3-day process mostly for paying wages, you don’t want this to pay money into your account.
CHAPS is an expensive same-day process for very high value payments, you might want this but probably not.

I think it’s Faster Payments you are referring to :wink:, and Zopa do accept those, they give you a sort code and account number through which you can transfer money using a regular Faster Payment from any bank.
The other way is to do it through the Zopa app using Open Banking, that also works well, although the reference it sets is a piece of gibberish you need to go in and fix afterwards if you care about these things.

I’m not bothered - it sounds like a half-arsed product anyway, and I don’t do ‘spending’ accounts.

7.5% regular saver is pretty good even if not bothered about the cashback

CHAPS is mostly a con imo. I’d rather my banks didn’t support it :smile:

Not supporting BACs is a bit of an issue though, surprised current accounts launch without this (but plenty seem to).

I have been offered one of these accounts but don’t think I’ll bother, I don’t like having too many accounts.

Android only?

Just received my debit card… think it’d be too colour full but I actually quite like it

Maybe it’s only Android at the moment - I’m on iOS have their credit card but don’t have invite to bank account yet

I asked on chat whether there was a way of getting put on the beta list but they didn’t seem to think so.

I have a spare Android phone so could try installing the app on there!

I’ve got the app and a savings account on the Android app, and whilst they are offering me a £35k loan at an attractive interest rate, there is no sign of the current account. It must be a limited rollout to start.

I asked them while on the phone yesterday (I quite like their hold music), they said it’s just in phases. I’m iOS with credit card and now a few £ in savings and still nothing.

I’ve cleared my funds out of Zopa due to poor customer service, so doubt I’ll get an invite :rofl::rofl:

I have not been offered this but I am in iOS. I have my savings with them. Not had to contact customer service yet so can’t really comment on that.

I have a nominal amount in a savings account with them, but have had a loan with them for some time. Had to contact their customer service this week asking to remove a linked bank account that no longer exists. Service was quick and informative, but you can’t remove linked accounts it seems. In the ‘Anything else?’ part of chat I asked in passing if I could have an invite for a current account and it was ignored! I’ve been a (loan) customer of theirs on and off since 2012 so I don’t know where that puts me in their priorities!
