agree with you. I prefer to use a debit card linked to a current acvount, but for those lamenting the demise of a prepaid card it may be a good option.
I’m unable to read this whole thread now - but my experience of Thailand is that all ATMs charge a withdrawal fee. Nothing to do with UK bank and certainly nothing Monzo can do about it.

You are missing the point. Atm fees become a smaller % with larger withdrawals, unless you use your Monzo card when going over £200 will increase your costs. Monzo is a bad choice for a travel card.

I recommend Starling as a travel card right now.
Sure, don’t use Monzo as your travel money card if you’re going to make a lot of ATM withdrawals would be my advice too. As you said, there are cheaper options. Use those & everyone’s happy
