Set what up manually? The DDs need to be on the account switch from and transfer as part of the switch. It doesnât matter how the DD is set up initially, as long as its imported as part of the CASS process.
Sometimes banks insist you have a DD setup sometime after the switch - Santander for example. In those instances it doesnât matter if the DD is set up before or after the switch, as long as itâs still there. But Nationwide is not one of these - they need the DDs to be part of the switch.
Iâve always changed the details of whatever direct debit I wish to use for the switching bribe rather than letting them CASS. It always works
It doesnât matter if itâs imported during the CASS process as long as itâs there in the end.
ÂŁ75: Deposit ÂŁ1,000, have 2 direct debits active and make 10 debit card payments.
ÂŁ25 for 3 months after hitting the above criteria each month after.

Meh I want ÂŁ200 for just switching, not ÂŁ150 for constantly jumping through hoops for three months.
ÂŁ75 is a loaf of bread and pack of sausages these days. Co-op was incredibly shit last time I switched to them, gotta pony up money to make up for the pain.
