In other completely unrelated news, I got to try out Monzo’s new disputes process because of a company who sells one of these desserts. Very slick, and very nice. Refund up front too. It reminds me of PayPal’s dispute process but much more streamlined, modern, and easier.
Ice Cream for sure, however I am lactose intolerant so I have to stick to vegan “ice cream”. There are some nice options out there (Swedish Glace and Vegan Magnums are so nice).
While “Vegan Ice Cream” technically exists, it’s my understanding that it can’t legally be called “Ice Cream” if it’s dairy free.
On the subject of your dispute, I’m glad they offer the refund upfront, especialy considering it says “We should hear back by 21 November”. That’s months away and a long time to wait for a refund.
However, what happens if they don’t hear back? Or if they decide to side with the merchant?
Have yo considered lactose free dairy ice cream? Or even goats milk maybe?
I wonder what dairy free ice cream is classified as then if not ice cream. 
Id assume if they dont hear back, it just automatically closes in my favour. If the merchant wins they’ll take the money back off me.
But I don’t see them winning it. They haven’t fulfilled my gelato order which was promised to be delivered within 3 days of placing and order, and my attempts to contact them have gone unanswered. The logical step for them when they reply is just to cancel my order and agree with the dispute.
