Is this forum a customised or extended version of a piece of software others can download and use?
It’s a zillion times better than anything I’ve used before and would love to use it for a community project I’m working on.

Huh, reminded me a lot of Flarum (maybe Flarum is based on the Discourse system).
Either way, no spaces in the username? Ghastly.

Is there an Android app for Discourse? I can only find https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.discourse&hl=en which seems to be a bookmark requiring Chrome.

That is the one and it uses Chrome as the website browser.

Skyscanner and Huel use the same, though I prefer that Monzo shows the channels on the main page (on web):
