is there any indication on progress of NEW joint account applications? My partner and i are stuck on the “waiting for (other person)” page. When we contact Live Chat we’re told that the team are working through applications as quickly as they can.
Whilst thats a fair response - we applied for the account on the 10th July - how big is this queue? Can you give any indication of SLA to resolve?
I like this bit when you were already being asked where the cards were barely over one working day after the date you’d said.

It looks quite unusual, but I can’t put my finger on it… something about the matt pinkish finish and the high contrast Monzo logo…
Mine came today, so they’re definitely outbound.

Just need the personal account cards to join the 21st century and lose the embossing then I can replace my horrible blue one with hot coral (while keeping Plus for the connected accounts).
Got my card today looks good and love how easy it is to tell the difference between cards now. Think my only comment would be about how the card looks in app
Not sure I like the hint of Hot Corel on the left of the card (which actually doesn’t look too bad on its own in my screen grab but definitely worse in app). Looks like an error to my eye. Looks a lot better in the Apple wallet. Just my 2p
Are you on the latest version of the app?
On Android, the latest version (5.35.1) introduced a change to the in-app white JA card. Since then, mine doesn’t show the coral edging:
I’m on iOS with the latest monzo app buuuut I’m also running iOS 17 so it could well be a gremlin.
Lots of posts to go through here, so apologies if this is already covered… but if i were to replace my JA card in-app… would I be sent a new white(ish) card in replacement??

Just activated mine. In the Home Screen on Monzo it’s almost impossible to see my balance as it’s written in bright white against the slightly off-white card? Anyone else had this issue on iOS?
Update: Weird. Just force closed and reopened and now it shows in black text?

New card for me joint. I love it. Quality is great, the coral core is cool and the minimalist design is perfect. Not the best photo but it’s a cool card.
It is cool. And strangely more ‘monzo’ than the Premium metal card - maybe it’s the pinky/coral(!) sheen while moving it under light that looks different from the matt white of the Premium card.
Let’s see how it holds up in a partially-exposed card wallet in the pockets though - the Premium metal card, circa 2020, lasted about 2 weeks before denim-stain happened.
The limited sunshine yellow card, circa 2022, (Idemia) has an overlay that is failing quickly on the exposed edge. Whereas the physical Flex card (TAG Systems) seems to be holding up OK after 6+ months:
An aside for this thread but it blows my mind that 7 years on they still struggle with card quality…
