Waitlist and other timelines

Hello Monzo Ireland,

Are there any hard dates for when all account services will be available to customers, particulary Business Accounts?

I have been on the wait list for a Business Account and the counter has been stuck at 18 for a few weeks now! Why has the counter stopped moving? Are you pausing new registrations? Will this take more time? How long will this take? I am not entirely sure why this wait list was created if there’s no definitive timelines for when you may be invited to register for an account or when the accounts will be fully funtional including IBANs etc. Would it not be ideal to wait until you have everything in place and ready to go before you start to onboard customers? It’s a bit like waiting to buy a ticket for a concert off ticketmaster now, (any moment now?).

When it comes to business accounts, we are looking for clarity across various things, most importantly timeliness of things so we can prepare and take decisions accordingly. We have now gone ahead and opened an account with Revolut and will follow with a second trad-bank account.

I was looking forward to Monzo in Ireland with an attractive offer of fees waiver for the 1st year but I am afraid the start has been disappointing thus far.

@Cian may be best equipped, but given they’re fairly new, I can’t imagine any fixed dates can be given due to the amount of change and monitoring, and negative feedback if dates were to be missed for multiple reasons.

sorry for the delay in getting back to you and sorry to have kept you waiting.

We’ve been working hard to get things ready for the roll out and make sure everyone has a good experience. You should start to see waitlist numbers for Business Bank accounts move from early next week as we start letting our first few customers through.
