How awful for anyone who was possibly going to be relying on this in the coming weeks.
Absolutely agree that Virgin is a bit toilet these days! I wouldn’t trust them with anything anymore.

That Britons in general were just one or two credit card statements away from catastrophe is disturbing. We’ve been warned for years the next economic crash was overdue, and would be worse than the global banking crisis in 2008.

Certainly interesting. That said in 2018 they apparently had 3.3 million customers and my guess would be that a fair amount of these are credit card holders so not necessarily a high percentage of total customers.

Nothing to do with the Virgin brand anymore. Virgin money got bought by Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank last year.

Bad PR around the Virgin brand may be making them think twice about that rebranding now?
Personally, I always thought that Virgin Money wasn’t a particularly strong brand - in fact it always made me think of Northern Rock, which I don’t think many would consider a positive association!
