Hi, I will soon be travelling to Uganda for 9 months and was wondering what people’s experiences were using their Monzo card in Uganda? Also, I will be receiving my student loan whilst out there and will also want to transfer money from my Starling account to this card. Will I be charged or have to pay a fee for doing this? Thanks!
You’re making a transfer from a UK account to another UK account so if it’s via FPS there’s no charge.
If it’s an international transfer you need to contact Starling and your recipient bank Incase they charge for inwards international payments.

You’ve already got the best card for overseas use – Starling. Why do you want to use Monzo, which limits free cash machine use abroad?
