Personally I find the Plus and Premium app colours ugly and think there should be an option to turn them off, and keep nice plain background
(gradient behind the card)
Everyone to their own, I never noticed them.

Would likely change when / if dark mode comes.
Other than that you’re unlikely to get a company to remove their brand colours.

What colours are we talking about here? I’ve got Plus. Am I entitled to a different coloured app?
I had to check as well 
and I think they mean the slight gradient behind the card.
