3 biggest complaints seem to be Apple Pay, interest and the community. I’m feeling a bit self conscious now
Yeah???
I don’t understand the point of your response?
Boooo MSE…boooo TrustPilot…who’s next guys?
I generally don’t trust reviews online. If I’m really unsure I try and sample a large amount to get a fair opinion. Everyone hates on online shops like eglobalcentral or TechintheBasket but I’ve never had an issue.
Saying that everyone raves about bulb and I thought they were so so. Opening hours only when I’m at work, no support at the weekend. Due to this I was always forced to email and it often took 2-4 days for a response.
5 reviews = flocking?
I gave Monzo a positive review. They totally deserve it in my opinion
Boo MSE because they falsely defined Monzo as a “travel card”. It’s not.
Boo certain Trustpilot reviewers, not the platform itself, because they’re just making (probably) false claims or bitter about the community members, US, not the product or the service.
They falsely did no such thing. Monzo and MSE did it together and even contained a link allowing queue jumping.
No one argues Monzo and MSE didn’t partner on a referral program. Everyone argues that Monzo do not define themselves as a “travel card” and have never marketed themselves as one.
You’re aware MSE user their own editors to write up advertorials right? Appeasing and selling tips is their business. They’re totally within their right to do so.
But surely you can see this would have created confusion?
What’s your source for this?
Yes they did…on MSE!
Like I said, they use their own editors.
Umm… I can foresee this being another pointlessly circular argument, plus off-topic.
The truth is that it was MSE who simply misinterpreted the nature of what Monzo are all about and massively so and despite various attempts to correct them they still maintain the wording at the time of publication.
Like…?
True, now you must slate Monzo repeatedly on every thread and bring politics into your post or you’ll be crazy Monzo nut!
Bloody Brexit making us criticise our banks!
Isn’t this travel card/Monzo vs. MoneySavingExpert argument moot anyway?
Monzo must be ecstatic that their beta trial, which aimed for 5,000–10,000 users ended up netting them hundreds of thousands of customers, and from the figures I’ve seen the vast majority of those have converted to a full current account (ie. only a very small proportion have, or will in the next couple of weeks, let their pre-pay account expire)
So, surely, the net benefit of leaping ahead in customer numbers outweighs any kind of ‘blame’ over a now–defunct product?
Can someone please close or split this thread as it’s covering old stuff that is no longer valid i.e. MSE Prepay?
@alexs doesn’t need a source - he isn’t stating any facts. You specifically said Monzo didn’t ask MSE to change the wording. The burden of proof lies with you.
Okay, statement retracted. Jeez
I’ll refer to @anon77734705 @anon41219820 @anon21222882 to do that.
