Transparency decline? (Posts regarding frozen accounts removed)

Damn I missed it!

That was weird, they transferred almost £4K from a card to Transferwise, then transferred it from Transferwise to Monzo, to then pay off a credit card? That’s the strangest financial shenanigans I’ve seen in a while, just sounded dodgy to me.

Edit: I am going off memory of what was stated at the beginning as it’s gone and I can’t double check.

If anyone posted or read t look in history and post link

And if they’re good at it then it won’t look fake…

you might be right about it… some fraudsters are damn good at what they do!:hushed:

Seems weird why you would go through Monzo when you could just pay direct to card?

So what if it takes 3 days or whatever.

Who has a credit card bill of £4K anyway? Yikes.

Right, and now you’re playing into their hands by questioning why the post was hidden & then reposting it.

When I move money between 16 different countries, in 10 different currencies, and work it through 5 different shell corporations, to pay my TV licence… It sometimes gets above 4K

So

Credit Card > Transferwise > Monzo > Credit Card?

If that’s the case, it is a bit strange, although not unheard of.

AFIK you can’t use one card to pay another I might be wrong

Also trustpilot reviews tend to be fake as shown in other threads and yours was closed as we are not support and can’t do anything so you’re best off contacting them not us

It doesn’t matter how genuine someone presents their case on the forum, we as a community have no way to validate what they say. I don’t believe they should remain public viewing either because a) we will never know whether they were genuine or fraudulent and b) they present a distorted picture of Monzo which can never be commented on officially.

Don’t get me wrong I’m already open to transparency, but matters that can’t be discussed shouldn’t be on the forum. It’s fine if someone asks a question and how best to get it resolved, but that’s not what these threads tend to be.

Also just as a reminder this is the article from the guardian recently about fraud https://amp.theguardian.com/money/2018/jul/07/heres-how-scammers-get-away-with-it

Definitely, a problem like this won’y be solved on the forum. Threads might be closed for comments but not removed

Keep nagging Monzo as nobody here will help you. I am not sure about it though, maybe there is some magician here :joy:

You need to speak to the support team to get your issue resolved, we can’t help. In the meantime, posts like that really aren’t helping convince anyone that you have a legitimate issue.

Having worked in IT for one, yes, I do think your could be waiting that long, and longer. Technical issues can take days to resolve especially if there is uncertainties about where the problem is.

When you read all the deleted threads on this subject the same words, phrases and mannerisms are all so familiar.

Sometimes I think that high street banks are super smart not to start any online forums  They copied lots of stuff from fintechs, but something tells me they won’t copy this one
