The Great Permacrises

it’s easy to forget there’s a labour party since Starmer took over

Long live the NHS! I am so grateful that we have a service that everyone can access, for free at the point of use.

Hopefully it survives the current government and we get someone in place who will fund it adequately.

He is weak sauce but I do think he is better than the last 2, not because he is the best but because they are so bad, cheaters are as cheaters do.

Its not for free …it costs us about 10% of the country’s GDP

“Free at the point of use” was the expression used

Rebuild it adequately to be honest with the way how funding it works via tax, maybe cut off the highest earners.

It is free at the point of use as I said.

You don’t have to pay a certain amount to gain access, you can access it from before you are even born. You don’t get a bill afterwards for the treatment you received. Free at the point of use.

Thats actually not too bad even though its considerably gimped since the Cons took over. Look at the USA where they spend more and get less gains:

The IFS, as expected, are less than impressed.

When it fails they will blame strikers, anyone on benefits, and immigrants.

Even though the evidence already says it will fail.

There’s no such thing as a bad economic or political plan. If it fails it will be because of bad implementation, or because of saboteurs foiling it.

Pace Brexit. A perfect plan to release Britain’s buccaneering spirit from the clutches of foreign bureaucrats only to be ruined by May’s poor implementation, then Johnson’s poor implementation, then treacherous lawyers insisting on the law being upheld. Now it’s Truss’ turn to have a go.

This is what happens when Muppets sit on the cabinet unfortunately, let the rich get richer and the poor, well let’s hope they all die off.

Todays announcements will benefit me, but will be entirely offset by the new increased remortgage rate I’ve just agreed. So really, it’s a net-negative. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for some right now :frowning:
