I’ve had this same issue. I’ve no idea whether it’s been declined, still in a queue, or just been lost.

I find it strange that the business account has the same payment categories as the personal account. It’s as if Monzo missed this when developing the account – while some categories may be appropriate (eg. expenses, transport) things like holidays and family aren’t relevant.

It would be good to have a more relevant selection of payment categories. Potentially even custom categories, although I’m aware this might be a bigger task.

Custom categories was coming as a part of the plus launch.

Not too sure what that means going forward to be honest. Could mean business accounts dont see it for a while until itls launched with plus, could mean its added for business accounts sooner because it was already ready :man_shrugging:

I don’t see why they need custom categories for this, or why that should be tied to plus anyway. They just need different ones for taxable expenses/income IMO - the broad categories are the same for all businesses. For an example of the kind of thing Monzo could be doing with this which helps smaller businesses plan cashflow etc, see coconut:

So I would assume they would also be rolled out on the business pro
