Despite me knowing what accounts I have, I still had to count them up . Doesnt help I got two yesterday.
You don’t have Coutts on there
Thanks for doing this. Will be interesting to see the results in a few days.
The only question I struggled with a bit was How many savings accounts do you have? This was tricky to answer as I have multiple savings accounts or pots at some banks, and I also have inactive savings accounts at some banks. I decided to answer as if the question was: how many banks do you have active savings accounts at?
I went the opposite way. The number I have, not the number of how many I actively use.
Same with current accounts too.
Main thing I am learning is how unoriginal my banking choices are.
I hope to have 10 current accounts by the end of 2025, and I’ll definitely have 10 “proper” savings accounts be the end as well.
Only 37% of people here use monzo as their main current account? I expected more.
It’s better news for monzo with savings (67% using monzo as main) and credit cards (80%).
The forum users are older and more male than I expected.
Slightly concerned about the lack of the fairer sex.
Absolutely delighted at the growth and popularity of MONEYBOX and MONZO
I have 6000 shares in MONEYBOX
What’s a share worth, @Juno17 ? Have they appreciated much?
I thought older, too - then I realised that Monzo is coming up to 10 years old (@AlanDoe do you - or anyone else - have an exact date?) and taking 10 years off gets us back to where I thought the Monzo age would be.
How time flies…
Big sausage fest, however I think a good pile of the members of the forum would like that.
I’m 35 in 6 months so that would have been another vote for 35-44 which is by far the biggest age range here.
I did consider a question on sexuality…
I’ve answered my own question - we need to start party planning / holding the date for the inevitable invite!
Sorry I made a mistake. I have 1000 shares in MONEYBOX at £10.08 and 6000 FREETRADE shares 250 MONZO shares
In terms of “other” savings we have fixed term with Hampshire Trust Bank. I’d never heard of them until I was casting around for joint savings account providers but they turned out to be very good. Decent 18 month fix and they offered a preferential rate to roll it over for another 12 months.
Thank you for doing this.
Being in the 65 - 74 category, I was expecting a slightly higher % in that age range.

I like to keep my finances strictly segregated. Almost all have a specific and active function, be that for receiving my pension, paying bills, acting as a portal for savings accounts, for rewards and/or cashback and a couple, which are my ‘get me home in an emergency funds’
It’s a setup/system which has evolved over time and is mostly automated.
Very curious what you use Cater Allen for.
Full automaton is the dream.
I did say ‘almost all’.
I have actually used it on occasion as a nominated account for short-term ‘parking’ of interest on a maturing reguar saver to keep it separate before shifting it on elsewhere.
