TestFlight iOS 1.9.29

This landed today. It includes the newly designed help section and a notification/banner (I assume) when you’re going to go overdrawn.

Would be interested to hear others thoughts on the new help section!

It’s great to see this in the redesigned Help tab

This screen is a little cramped

No way to hide the keyboard

I’m so upset there is still no edit on standing orders…especially since it’s going to change next month and I’m going to have to cancel and then reset up

The help section though is a major improvement in my opinion…all my previous customer service chats have gone now though

(Adam Kendrew) #7

The ‘I need help with a transaction’ in the new help tab is a good addition.

Not sure what I think about this, the previous version (with the three categories horizontal) took up less space. Definitely good to have consistent iconography, though, and that it leads to the special in-app views.

Best part of this new help for me is Adam’s post , so frictionless. Also, the button to start a new chat actually works again (instead of taking you to your chat history). :boom:

I think the icons should be different colours to match the threads on the forum.

Not sure if it’s possible, but could you make the links to the forum open in full safari, rather than the strange semi-safari dialog that appears nowadays?

The UX for in app chat is much better :+1:t2:

App improvements needed? - suggestions

This is such a great update.

Maybe removing a little padding between the “Help” heading and the search bar?

Edit: maybe hiding the help heading all together when scrolling down so the search bar is at the top?

(Frank) #13

I have noticed a bug when enabling biometric authentication it loops around a few times “would you like to enable?, enter pin, would you like to enable?, enter pin, would you…”. This should only happen once.

Also I think this was present in 1.9.28 too.

(Frank) #14

Would be good if scrolling up transitioned the magnifying glass to the right of the help text and hid the input box. So you still have access to search but once you scroll down you have more screen available.

(Jack) #16

I have noticed this also. I’ve also noticed I have to re enable it each time I update the app which is annoying

(Frank) #17

That seemed fine for me this time. I only disabled to see that the UX was.

I have been a Monzo TestFlight user before, but cannot see anything in the list and the old TestFlight link does not work. Ideas how to activate this again?

(Jack) #19

We’re you a current account beta tester? If so that’s a different batch of beta users. You’ll need to message someone at Monzo for them to add you again. I think the best person for this is @Rika

(Sami Ristimäki) #20

I was indeed, been with Monzo from the early days  Actually just got an invite for TestFlight! Would love to say thank you for the person who added me back to TestFlight, Thank you

The ‘new’ chat bit is not very good imo reasons:

Select chat with human
Type message
Press Start and message appears in chat box
You see message so press x thinking it has been sent

Nope you actually have to press send

Did this a few times today thinking I has sent a message to support when I hadn’t as I didn’t press send but thought it had sent as it looked like it had.

Needs to go back to the old way

Conversations UI is still not right
