Is there a reason why we can’d add notes and rages to all transactions? The transactions where I can’t do this are usually the ones where using a tag would be the most beneficial.
Are you using iOS? I suspect you are.
On Android, you can add notes and ‘tags’ to all transactions (although ‘rages’ would be totally acceptable on larger, unexpected spending 
)

There is a topic for this somewhere in the ideas section which can be voted for. There’s no guarantee that it will ever happen, of course.
