In the second half of the first link that I posted, 6 other malware infections in the Play Store this year alone are listed, with around 150 million downloads in total. This is not what I would call rare. OTOH, here is what Aptoide had to say about the Judy Adware/Malware: How To Prevent Your Phone From Getting Infected With Korean ‘Judy’ Adware. This article contains the link to Aptoide’s 2016 blog post describing the checks that they do, but here it is again: Is Aptoide Safe?. If you are asserting that this is all fabrication and that Aptoide are lying, why not come out and say it?
As for someone downloading an app from one store and uploading it (unchanged) to another, are any laws or terms and conditions being broken? If Monzo are concerned about this, they could take control of the situation. Perhaps they have (quietly): after all the latest trusted version of the Monzo app on Aptoide is 6 months old and probably doesn’t work any more.
As for the “Cracked Apps 4 You” store, I don’t know what the owner is choosing to put there, but does it contain any actual malware? At 232,000 downloads it is a drop in the ocean compared to the Play Store, although the proper comparison would be across all Aptoide stores, of course.
Finally, I have no affiliation with Aptoide, but I don’t like to see Google being put on a pedestal either
