Spending tracker (stopwatch style)

While the monthly spending count is useful, it would be handy to be able to start a separate spending tracker which you can start, pause, stop or restart, at any given time.

This would enable the ability to keep track of spending over smaller and more flexible time periods.

Although not exactly the same idea, I think Monzo are already wanting to do something like that as indicated here:
