I used to have pages upon pages of apps, so I went on a big just-have-what-you-need-here drive and kept to one home screen. Also, I still have the

It’s the smart google filter thing, I don’t see all the promotions on Gmail app, but the stock mail app shows ALL the unread. I’m not reading them

I do the sameness thing, but turn off badge notifications on the mail app. It would drive me to distraction, otherwise.
