Should Monzo allow a one off share sale like Revolut and Brewdog

The bump was a duplicate in error as it did originally say it was not posted and then it said it had the same heading so I changed the heading with out realizing it had actually posted.

Its been removed now.

Shame the forum seems to have become a more unwelcoming place not like the good old days.

Just noticed you are now mocking me as well - wow ! What happened to the Tone of Voice policy ?

If a semi-idle question on a quiet Sunday evening is unwelcoming then I apologise. I thought it was conversational, personally :man_shrugging:

Enjoy your poll.

To be honest if @Feathers hadn’t asked the question then I probably would have :man_shrugging:

I too was curious as I imagine there would be so much legal stuff they’d need to do in order to allow this.

First round investor here with no intention at all to depart from my shares any time soon. VCs funds bought early shares in Revolut and more recently Transferwise. In the case of BrewDog, it was a very transparent trading day. So we are not talking about a shares buyback by Monzo.

Indeed. I was talking more about the organisational costs of this sort of thing.

It feels like asking Monzo to spend money for no gain to themselvea.

Final results voting now closed - looks like the majority would like some kind of trading day.

Silly survey, 157 out of thousands of investors, who cares. Just drop it. You shouldn’t have invested if you wanted a liquid asset, go buy stocks if that’s what you’re interested in.

56% is not a clear majority.

Also, 56% + 46% = 102%

Appears as four people voted for both options instead of just the one

I really don’t think there’s any solid conclusions that can be drawn one way or the other.

Just like Brexit. 48/52% but apparently that was good enough?

this forum is for anyone with an interest in Monzo to post to - I am a first round investor and have seen how this forum has changed for the worst over the years mainly down to the same people overreacting to posts they deem as not to their liking eg ones that may criticise Monzo (including from coral crew members)

It looks like engagement from new Monzo users has dropped considerably on this forum maybe this is why ?

Awaiting usual suspects to reply :joy:

I’ve been here since the start, user number 1500ish and invested in the first round. Let monzo focus on making monzo, not your silly small share transfers.

@Investor_No1 keep posting mate, not quite sure at what point in time the Monzo community Gestapo came on board to dictate what people can talk about but I ain’t impressed.

@Lampran do you know what I do when I come across something that doesn’t interest me? I don’t engage with it.

It does interest me, I voted against it.

Unfortunately those who voted didn’t know what they were voting for, so we need another vote

Maybe using Nazi terminology is not the best way to win folk around? I ain’t impressed
