See your mortgage in Monzo šŸ  [Mortgage Referrals pilot live šŸš€]

This is great. I have an image uploaded but want to use Monzo’s but there’s no way I can see to remove the image. Pressing Edit, opens picture library only to change with another photo.

I have the same issue. No way to remove/delete an uploaded image - only option is to replace with another image from Photos or Albums (:android:)

We’ll soon add the possibility to remove the image! :hugs:

I spy help to buy equity options!

Really like it - super simple to follow.

Would like to see that equity portion displayed on the dial as well as my equity in order to visualise how much of the mortgage is paid.

Picture added

Might be a touch aspirational

We’ve launched Help to Buy :construction_worker_man::sparkles:

Hey - Gary here from the Homeownership team :wave:t2:

Many first-time buyers in the UK bought their property using the government’s Help to Buy scheme, which gave an equity loan and enabled people to get on the property ladder with a smaller deposit.

Our property equity feature now supports adding your Help to Buy details, which allows us to give you a more complete picture of your property equity and homeownership journey:

On another note - we’ve also added support to be able to remove any custom images you add, so you can enjoy the new default image our designer created last week :artist:t2: :star_struck:

How to get it:

  1. Update your app to 5.44 (if you have already seen the property equity feature, your version of the app now has Help to Buy as well. Customising the image is available in 5.44)
  2. Connect your mortgage if you’ve not already done so
  3. Go to your mortgage and tap Get started to… get started!

It’s been really great to hear everyone’s feedback, keep it coming! We read all of it and love hearing what’s working well for you and how we can improve things. You can leave feedback here or via the feedback form in our part of the app - ideas welcome! :bulb:

Cashback announcement and Help to Buy information for mortgages, busy Thursday at Monzo HQ!

Just need to enable multi instant access pots to complete the trio of announcements

Are there any plans to be able to merge mortgage products on the same property? Mine is split into two parts which throws off the LTV and overpayment calculations :face_holding_back_tears:

anyone know how frequently the mortgage balance is checked? My balance at CreditKarma updated on 31/10/23, but the balance in Monzo has not changed yet…

Thanks for the H2B addition, I really like the fact that the equity is shown accurately(ish) based on the current estimated value of the property - that’s really helpful!

One final cherry on the cake would be adding what your LTV would be at the end of your current deal term if you decided to add the equity loan to your mortgage.

Hi @jparcher! This is definitely something we’re aware of (and don’t like!) but we’re not tackling just yet.

One of the main challenges we have at the moment is that, both from a technical & design perspective, we aren’t set up to support multiple mortgages under one single property so requires quite a lot of effort to support (compared to something like Help to Buy).

Also most mortgages with multiple parts/sub-mortgages seem to be reported to the credit bureaux as a single entry and the multiple entry scenario is the less common approach! The inconsistency is a little frustrating for us!

Can you see when your update before that took place? We’ve got some logic that looks to predict based on the previous update timescales, so that we’re not checking for updates unnecessarily.

I’m not sure how to obtain the previous update date from credit karma … But will have a look when I’m at home later.

Can you remove the ā€˜add image’ across the photo as it spoils the look of it, esp as you can add image using the top right corner option. Thanks.

@HB I cannot find the date of the previous update. Transunion & CreditKarma report the last update from the BS on 31/10/2023 … I can see Monzo soft searches on 31/10/23 and 04/11/23 and 08/11/23 yet my balance is not updated…

So I wonder what my options are - complain to mortgage provider to report all three together?

Or switch away to a new lender, and back, to get a single account?

Sounds like a hastle.

Both of my mortgage balances updated overnight. The mortgages are from different providers and both have a last update date of 31/10/23 with TU/CreditKarma.

The Monzo app suggests that the next update from my providers will be in 5 weeks which would be around 16th December… which is around 6 and a half weeks since the last update with TU.
