With one of my regular banks on occasion it can take me 3/4 hour to make one simple payment. All the hoops back tracks checks repeats and devices are in the name of security. An overdraft, document after document, checks, calls, letters, refusals, reapplications, etc etc… again security etc…
Same things in monzo, literally 10 seconds.
Is monzo very poor on security or are the other Banks lying or over the top?
The other banks are mostly just practicing security theatre to make us feel like they’re doing lots to keep things secure.
With Monzo, they’re using newer security methods like Face/TouchID and using the card’s PIN for verification. Other banks want you to carry around a calculator and remember how fast you were walking on that one day in 1991. Long story short, Monzo just know how to do security.
