Might be useful and not sure if this is possible but can you please look into having scheduled freeze and unfreeze ( like for e.g.you can set a schedule say 7pm for freeze and auto unfreeze at 9am ) for the physical card in the app , I think it helps especially night time if unknown transactions happens when you are in bed and you wake up in the morning and see a fraudulent transaction which happened whilst you are in bed

Good suggestion, amended topic so can be voted for.
But… What happens in the event your phone dies, you’re out and about and your card is frozen and you really need to get home?

I thought there is a feature in both Samsung and Apple atleast where default card works ( apple calls it express cards , android calls it transport cards ) even when phone is out of battery

I’m referring to more in general, on a night out/nip to shops to get stuff, phone at home/dead.
Could be pretty troublesome if no workaround.

I guess user will always have the option not to use the feature , especially if the user thinks it creates more problems
That isn’t the issue. It’s the people that use it and then it causes an issue.

You could use a virtual card linked to a pot as a workaround. Put funds in the pot and add to Apple Pay and keep your main balance very low so things will decline on it.
Want to use your main card, move money into the main balance.
