Never needed to step foot in a branch of Santander. Everything so far with them has been online or through the chat bot. Only needed to call once due to suspected fraud.
When their takeover of TSB completes, I would expect another round of closures.
I went into one where they have a card recycler to shred all of my expired cards.
I don’t even have an account with them and those card shredders are only placed in a handful of branches. ![]()
Might need to find somewhere else to shred my cards as I’ve moved away.
The chips inside the cards mean bank cards can’t be recycled the same way as conventional plastic, hence why I am fixated on recycling bank cards at dedicated recycling points.
(Yes, I clearly have a problem.
)
In the latest app update, does anyone know if the push notifications mentioned in Money Manager are for transactions too, or just information related to Money Manager?
I ordered a new card and i got push notification saying it was ordered and estimed time of delivery
I had a notification from Santander today linking to a quiz:
Got the answer right and discovered they have an Activity Tracker.
I wonder how long it’s been there?
I do think they need to advertise some of their features a bit more. It’s not always obvious what they have
Just seen this on their online banking.
Though I can’t use their app as they keep asking me to verify Id and it keeps failing after taking selfie. I don’t know if they just don’t like beta OS I am using.
Hi all,
Does anyone have the Satander Edge Explorer account and know whether the digital GP service includes counselling?
Thanks
I doubt it.
The GP service does private referrals so I guess they’d just refer you on to a private counsellor, which you can do for yourself without paying £17pm.
Some employers have an EAP which can include counselling. Worth checking there too, unless it’s a specific type.
Even then, £15pm for 6 sessions, cheaper than booking otherwise I think?
Thanks guys, I was wondering about getting Premier and paying £15 per month to get it instead of paying the money in and out, but can I just do that? Various sources seem to think that’s a no-go
I pay it in and out no issues. Probably those who had issues were doing it too quickly. Depending on how much you want to move each time, you can leave it in a few days, then out, repeat. Mine are via standing orders.
You can indeed, though it’s not mentioned if Lloyds would ever check to see if it’s a salary or if you’re just gaming it.
Thanks guys, what I mean is, instead of paying the money in and out can I just give Lloyds £15 per month?
Or will they stop me doing that when they see I’m not using it like a Premier account?
That is also an option, I asked ai and there’s nothing to indicate they would change the account automatically.
