Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Chat

Wayback machine has just been hacked and it down for a while so not right now

Revolve is the basic account, not standard account.

Ah yeah, my bad.

I’m curious what your actual issue with Visa is…

Enough to put :face_vomiting: after using it

It literally makes zero difference on an everyday level what type your card is

I mean really, what is the issue?

I see.

I mean I agree I prefer the Mastercard logo.

It just was jarring reading :face_vomiting: every time you say Visa; a joke is one thing but yeah…

Just me who prefers the Visa logo then? The Mastercard one is busy and interferes with any design other than solid colour. Visa in white does just the opposite.

But yeah it doesn’t matter a jot really, much like the design of the card in general if I’m completely honest…

Sometimes the Visa logo looks better, e.g. on the black RBS premier card. However I also like the silver MasterCard logo used on the Chase and Monzo debit cards.

I get this though I’m sad they dropped the blue and yellow to get there.

I have been able to get an RBS revolve account with Child & Co. branded debit card using the old form.

Oh Wow!

I don’t regret using the old form to get a C&Co account but it’s sitting somewhere collecting dust. It’s a nice card to have in a collection though.

Form is easy to find if you look around in the forums (if it wasn’t deleted already).

There is no credit checking because they can’t offer you credit of any sort. In any case it’d be pointless searching because you don’t have a record, yet.

Just out of interest did you try changing it to reward or anything else?

Could you just change it to Premier??

There is an ‘old form’ for Natwest which allows you to select any sort code - but unlike RBS you’ll get the same debit card no matter which you pick; even if you pick a historic acquisition (e.g. one of the many Smiths Banks) since Natwest didn’t retain any of those brands.

Probably case sensitive as it’s old i.e. try PREMIER.

What happens if you use the old NatWest form and select an Ulster sort code? Would you get a NatWest account but with an Ulster sort code? Or old form and select something like an Isle of Mann branch?

Kind of makes sense that Premier wouldn’t work directly as that’s more of an upgrade whereas the others are things that you can apply for directly.

Thanks for checking! You learn something new every day.

They’re not listed. Only Natwest branches on there. Presumably Ulster also has an old form online somewhere.
