Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Chat

I’ve still not received mine and its been over a month.

Surely you are

Yeah, but at the rate I used cheques, I’d have had the really nice one for another 30 years or so :frowning:

Weirdly enough I received mine today too for both the Child & Co and the Drummonds.

My Drummonds says ‘premium account’ underneath the logo on each of the cheques which is different to yours.

There really is a number of variants.

Sounds like for those that have or had both there’s been something added to the account to make one if them premier.

Did you upgrade it, or are you just assuming that it has been from the cheque book?

How do you tell if it’s premier?

If you’ve been upgraded to premier you can tell by the mobile app icon

I’ve tried searching but do RBS show direct debits/credits the day before I’m guessing not as they tend to do batch processing in the early morning

Just for reference

Indeed. I do have a premier reward black account but that’s Child & Co. So you’d think it would be attached to that. Weird.

I’m not sure I’ve ever sent a cheque :no_mouth: is that right at 35?

When the day comes that you do need a cheque, you can go totally last century and get a postal order

I’ve only sent cheques

Try upgrading your driving licence to add lorries and you’ll find you need a cheque or postal order to do it.

Well it’s a reward account, but not premier.

These are so much better.

I’d posted this previously .. but it’s a long way back in the chat now:

When I joined child and Co I opened the standard select account. I then tried to upgrade it to the premier reward account and ended up with a second account.

I requested a chequebook for the Premier Reward account and received a chequebook for both accounts. Strangely the book for the Standard Select account says ‘Premium Account’ on the front and on each cheque, and the book for the Premier Reward account doesn’t!

So it looks like the used to give the ‘Premium Account’ ons to regular accounts, and the ones without Premium on them to the Premier accounts.

Most people won’t have heard of it or realise it’s a military bank. It doesn’t mention it on the front - the bit about the military covenant is only on the rear of the card.
