✅ Round-Up ‘accelerator’

What a tease!

Nope sorry not having that.

If it’s being added where is the transparency? Take a look around this forum, so so many ‘features’ that people want and none of us have any clue when they might drop.

Hide/sort pots as an example, all we’ve been told is Q1 2020. That could mean the last day of March. How do you not already know if it’s March or February, you must be almost done the work/testing??

Not having a go directly at you @bruno but it’s starting to get quite frustrating hearing ‘soon’ and with no roadmap and no visibility of things… personally I’d rather Monzo said nothing and just realised things rather than this never ending tease/hope thing you guys seem to enjoy.

You are a product team. Act like one??

Acting like a regular product team would mean not releasing any updates or hints before the feature’s released. That’s not fun and it’d make this community a less rewarding place to spend our time in.

At least you know they are working on them. Is radio silence better?

Poor Bruno, trying to do his bit to make people happy and then he gets an avalanche of ill-feeling. No wonder so many of the Monzo staff tend to stay clear of the community.

Is 1 post an avalanche?

In this instance, yes.

Did go 0-100 real quick there :joy:

@bruno could you share some more please?

I’m hoping for customisable roundups - to nearest 50p, £1, £2, £5 etc…

Hey all, sorry didn’t expect this to get so much attention! I have a draft post that answers all these questions, just need to make some changes before publishing (hopefully this week).

But as transparent as I can be: we’ve finished something similar to what’s described in this thread, it’s currently being tested, and will be part of Monzo Plus.

Thanks @bruno for that update, maybe next time hold off until you can say more?

And for everyone else, this is my point. I want more transparency for sure but the constant ‘soon’ is now getting old. It’s coming, and that’s great. If Bruno had posted this previously I wouldn’t have had a wee rant (sorry!).

And I do appreciate all Monzo staff coming on here, maybe just needs a little more thought into the interaction model at times is all. IMO.

Why in this instance? Talk about stirring things up!

Nope, radio silence isn’t better.

Bruno’s NEXT post should’ve been the first one, not another ‘soon’ tease. I just think that’s getting old and suggests a little more care needs to be put into the communication strategy and whatever they have along the lines of a roadmap to communicate. It’s not easy. It is do-able.

I like the teases :woman_shrugging:

Yeah for a while, but eventually it seems to play out like a disorganised group of teams doing whatever they want when they want. It doesn’t fill me with confidence for the future. I"m aware of how Agile teams work but they still tend to work towards common goals, and the ‘teases’ don’t dispel that.

Sorry @gmclean but this just lacks class mate. Show some respect, only earlier you were saying about things taking time almost defending the product team then you call out Bruno.

There are better ways to go about this in my opinion, and talking like you are doesn’t help anyone.

And I’m referring to the likes of this btw. Like another person mentioned, it’ll only deter monzo employees like Bruno coming into this space and I for one love that they embrace their users.

I’ve been very supportive of Monzo, and the Monzo crew who post here on the forum. I didn’t mean any disrespect, and directly said to Bruno that it wasn’t directed at him, it just happens to be an example that I could use to illustrate my point.

Monzo communication is good but flaky. IMO they need to address the latter half of the previous sentence, keep communicating but maybe offer some focus. If I represent a company in a public forum I’m sure I’d be held to account by some communication strategy, and it just feels like there isn’t one. Monzo is ‘big/old’ enough to have such things in place now (again, IMO) and the longer they don’t, the more things will start to slip.

This forum is a marketing tool, let’s be clear on that, so if it isn’t part of a strategy of some sort then Monzo are both missing a trick, and making a mistake. I hope they can rectify because I really want them to be successful.

Hope that clears things up a bit, language is such a funny thing.

We are getting off topic though, so I’m gonna ditch out of this conversation.

Off topic , but , I tend to agree , “soon” does tend to become meaningless at times when it is used so often. regarding your post, the forum would be pretty useless as a tool for Monzo to improve their service if we all agreed all the time about how wonderful all things Monzo are / were.
I do however appreciate the time that obviously busy staff members take to read some of the forum topics to find out what customers want and need, and they do help out wherever possible - The coral crew … I wouldn’t do their “job” if you paid me, and it is a purely voluntary post, again much appreciated to try and ‘manage’ the members and the topics.
