Does anyone know if you can save / set aside money with the Revolution Pro account?
Pro is just a side account for your personal account, so any savings to be stored will be via your personal account, being sole trader/freelancer id guess thatâs the general way anyway.
Business accounts possible have their own savings but I donât have a business account.
Not so cool fact, you canât close your pro account once you open it too.
What is on the next screen if you click âShow Higher Ratesâ?
so, not very helpful then.
So, as you say, click bait false advertising, by the looks of it
Hmm dodgy. So their new UK banking licence (which is being overseen) isnât playing by the rules . I donât trust Revolute at all.
Whatâs dodgy about an error in the app?
Iâve seen this a few times, never been a bitch about it.
Says X rate but I canât find it? Oh well, must be broken.
Anyway, back to my usual day.
They donât do too bad now with card processing.
Itâs only those poor educated airlines drip fed incorrect information.
Revolut probably have the balls to go have it out with them.
Revolut is a bank as far as Iâm concerned. No license, aye⌠But they do bank stuff.
Itâs pretty frustrating even now when you see people talking about âputting money on their Monzo cardâ.
Been in Ireland for a day or two and itâs covered in Revolut ads to pay your salary in
They arenât even trying to get customers as pretty much everyone already has a Revolut account, just trying to get you to âfree the salary from old banksâ
In all the major train stations, bus stops, billboards etc
Even out in the village I live in, the bus stops have that same poster ad.
TV is being absolutely hammered with Revolut adverts across the board
Whoâs been a bitch? Bit harsh for a comment made. Soz Iâm not one of the regulars like you guys and donât mean to interfere with you and ya other commentators. However people on here anre allowed to have views thanks huntee. You do you bo.
Grow up.
Been on Temple bar all night in Dublin, but you managed to take the cake for second hand embarrassment
Itâs about time Revolut released a new card design. Could do with a funky new design to fill our card design conversations
I suppose in Ireland they are what Monzo are basically trying to do in the UK - go from a spending account to a main account.
Banking in Ireland isnât free. Thereâs a fee for everything. Revolut is a break from that and thatâs why itâs popular.
My Revolut Euros account has been used a lot more than any other currency only because people in the South. Up in the North itâs definitely a lot less popular but still quite a few people use it if they have friends/family across the border.
I think this is it exactly.
Every man and his dog use Revolut here, for example thereâs 9 in my office and we all use it for bill splits / instant payments as there is nothing else that can do that in ROI.
A few of us use it for âfullâ banking.
What a lot of people tend to do, is get paid into their legacy bank accounts and promptly transfer everything to Revolut to avoid day to day transaction fees.
When you ask people why they wouldnât just get paid directly into Revolut, the response commonly is that they just didnât know you could do that, they thought it was just a âtop-upâ card.
And I guess that is exactly what this ad campaign is trying to target.
I mean, why pay account maintenance and transaction fees for an account that you use solely to move your salary through.
Although some still want the reassurance I guess of a branch. And thatâs fine, while banks are closing here itâs not as bad as the UK yet, but Iâd think thatâs only a matter of time tooâŚ
I mentioned a while back about this change to account balances being included in notifications rather than âspent todayâ.
Just noticed that it looks like Revolut have reverted this, my notifications have gone back to âspent todayâ and balances are not included in notifications anymore.
I assume they must have received complaints about it (I wasnât one of them)
Canât remember if there has been discussions about this one already but when Revolut convert accounts from the e-money accounts to current accounts, will there be a change of account/sort code and further credit checks made etc?
