I think the app is a bit broken. At least for me. Changing the theme once you hit apply changes it to something completely different and not what was selected.

I wanted to try them but they don’t want me.
I get annoyed with stuff like notifications arriving in the PM when debits were made at 4am 
(Lloyds)
They wouldn’t let me in for years and numerous complaints wouldn’t make them budge until I eventually got someone who looked at it properly and got it overturned. It’s a decent app for being a high street bank.
Lloyds on the other hand have totally frozen me out for life
I do miss the budgeting features you get with the likes of Revolut and Monzo - RBS is very basic in comparison

I don’t use any budgeting stuff in any app, causes a stir in my brain so no pots or pockets, just main account and savings.

I’ve gone the other way, my Revolut cass’es out on Tuesday to Natwest.
Ultimately it’s a nice app, and I hope they do well, but still uneasy about them (for no logical reason I’ll admit)
I dabbled with various de-googled phones back in the day, and banking apps were really the reason I couldn’t use it long term. Most of the main UK banks get upset if they see an unlocked bootloader.

They cannot ensure your data remains secure so it’s acceptable to refuse to be fair. They have a duty to be conscious of weak/unverified platforms otherwise the FCA could be right on their back.

I actually think it’s not acceptable, since most of them work on severely outdated versions of Android. Sure, cite security reasons. But then you have to be decomissioning your support for Android versions no longer getting security patches too.
Now shows ‘Revolut Bank’ animation when opening app. Actually, I noticed that ‘Revolut’ was replaced with ‘Revolut Bank’ on TV advertising a few days ago, and also on statement downloads inside the app. New branding it seems
