I’m sure you’ve thoroughly tested this aspect of their service. ![]()
From memory they aren’t protected in the same way either so you just have to hope.
I wish they were as protected and actually work. I think they are great if you don’t want to close a bank account but want to move over direct debits.
Would be nice if CASS offered a none close switch option.
I can understand though, especially payment redirections. A direct debit is ultimately just a bank transfer in reality, but instructed from the other bank.
I’ve noticed the way round ups are displayed on the transactions have changed.
It now shows you exactly how much has been rounded up and then on the round ups account it now lists it as ‘spare change’ alongside which transaction the round up has came from.
I did pick up on that recently, nice addition.
Any screenshots?
I’m right in that round ups are turned into revpoint right and not saved like Monzo? Carl
Thanks I didn’t go for roundups because they went to rev, so good to see you can choose
You’ve always been able to use round ups as normal, I think when they launched Revpoints you could only accrue them on the standard plan by using spare change, but now it’s just 1 for every £10 you spend.
Not sure how often people use the Revolut web apps, but they’ve been updated again recently and are pretty much on feature parity with the phone apps now.
The Trading terminal and Revolut X are particularly good for those that invest
Does it login with QR?
Make payments and such?
Yes - QR code login. You can make transfers between accounts, although - no, not outbound from Revolut to an external account by the look of it. You can move Crypto in and out via web though, and trade using an API
Latest fun with my direct debit issues, just went to the gym to find my PIN wouldn’t work. Turns out my account had been suspended due the the direct debit not being paid on Friday.
Quick phone call and all was sorted, missed payment will be taken this week and fee waived.
Now to file a complaint to Revolut.
What a terrible process.
I logged a complaint and waiting for the outcome.
The level of distress and inconvenience certainly matters in your instance.
I’m going back to Lloyds ![]()
I thought you were this forums number one fan of Revolut ![]()
I am indeed but this is the second direct debit issue I’ve had with them in 6 years, it’s no major, but all my bills can go back to Lloyds as there weren’t any issues there.
I’d pay most by standing order if I had the choice.
Might ask the union to take payments from my salary as that’s one of the tricky ones, and then dental insurance is the next.
Both sat in revolut unpaid atm.
Seeing as partial switches don’t seem to work, I don’t want to close any existing accounts and I can’t be bothered to phone/email the companies that don’t let you update direct debits online it doesn’t look like I’ll be moving to Revolut anytime soon ![]()
How long we betting that lasting for ![]()
