Revolut chat

My HSBC finally switched over today via CASS.
So quick FYI if you freeze your card you can’t CASS.

How are Revolut with Merchant Data corrections, better or worse than Monzo?

Also the 24 hours early payment is interesting, can anyone confirm the process on that? Is it like Monzo early pay or does it happen automatically?

I reported one on Monday, I’ll let you know if/when it gets fixed

Merchant data has never been corrected for me I don’t think.

Merchant data has never been corrected for me either.

That said it is accurate the vast majority of the time.

Still not been notified of my account moving over to a bank account.

Was it visible within the app notification section too?

I only got notified by email I think

Same just got an email as nothing in the App

I’m pretty sure I had something in the app as well, could be wrong though

The only message I got in the App was the general ‘Hey - we’re a bank now!’ ad sent on the 12th.

I only had via email the ‘countdown’ of ‘it’ll be done within 2 months’ notice sent on the 19th.

For those still waiting - the usual suggestion of check your spam folder in case it’s in there?

I’ve just got the ‘bog-standard-no-frills’ free Revolut account which at the moment I’m not actually really using (got a teeny-tiny bit of share trading - less than £80 in there).

I’m assuming there’s a broad mix of the different current accounts subs that have been notified so far? They’re not doing the standard ones first before moving onto the Plus, Premium, Metal and Ultra ones? (cos if they’re doing that, I would’ve thought they’d do the Ultra ones first so those paying them the most would be the benefits first and then move down the chain?)

I had one corrected. It took months.

Noticed an odd behaviour with Revolut and Spare Change Round-ups :face_with_raised_eyebrow: So if i was to spend £5.00 somewhere it’s rounding the payment up to £6.00 and moving the additional £1.00 to my savings account.

Is this normal behaviour for Revolut as it’s done it a few times since the weekend and I’ve never seen this with other banks that have this feature.

Grateful for any insight

It’s always rounded to the next £, including the next whole £1 if it’s a .00 figure.

Home page had a face lift. Literally.

I’ve started to actually use my Revolut account this week to see what it’s like. Put some savings in the 4.50% savings account and moved over a charity direct debit to see what the notifications are like. Tempted to go for the Metal upgrade, mainly just for the FT standard digital subscription which is cheaper than all the other ways of getting it (that I can find).

I see you can add your RevTag QR code to Apple Wallet now.

No screenshot as blocking the personal info would make the screenshot pointless :joy:

So instructions instead: :slightly_smiling_face:

Go to Payments, press + (new payment screen)

Your RevTag / User is under the buttons for the other payment options at the top of the screen

When you open it, there is an option to add to Apple Wallet.

Edit: A thought, I wonder if this QR code works with payment systems like iDeal / Wero and / or whether it’s a prelude to the Revolut Terminal being able to quickly scan you for Revolut Pay where the merchant supports it (we’re starting to see a lot of these payment terminals now with scanners as well as the contactless reader)

These usually just aim for a card payment if they aren’t with the same bank.

I don’t have another device to see if it’ll redirect me to make a bank payment instead.

Can’t you screenshot the QR in Apple wallet then get link from the photos app by long pressing it? Let me try it and get back to you.
If it fails I will scan with the iPad when I get home tonight

It worked.

Opened link in Safari.
