Red symbol on incoming payment

My pending pension payments which I’ve been receiving into my account since 2018 today show a red head and shoulders symbol on them. Everything works as it should but it’s not something I’ve seen before.

Thoughts? :man_shrugging:

It’s going to your personal account.

Ah ok thanks. Never seen that before in all the years I’ve been with Monzo. Must be something new.
Thanks again for the reply.

I can’t remember when it was introduced but it has been on there a good while now. I think two yellow head and shoulders signifies joint account

According to the chat bot it says it’s usually subject to additional security checks. It’s from the DWP and has been going in for years and I’ve no problem with the checks, that’s fine the trouble is the bot says it’ll transfer me to a colleague to sort it. How long is a piece of string.

I’ve got a square red-backround/white-bust for the Personal transactions:

a square white-background/red-double-bust for the Joint account where I’ve spent:

a square white-background/red-double-bust with round MrsW’s initials for the Joint account where MrsW has spent:

a round icon red-background/white JrW’s initials for the U16 account spend:

They all follow the same pattern for the card colours/people involved across multiple accounts & types. They’ve been like this for a while now (since the activity feed was introduced?)

I can only state what the bot says but I’m obviously happy with your answers and I thank you for them.:+1:

No lol;only come out of it. :man_shrugging:

Not on here!

Sometimes on here it’s a lot quicker as we all know.

Just by way of an update, customer service confirmed it wasn’t an account or transaction symbol as suggested (in good faith) on here. In fact she asked me to send her a screenshot because all is apparently good on Monzo’s end,and confessed she didn’t know why it was there or what it represented. She said should I wish to do so I could claim the pension tomorrow at 4 or leave it to credit as normal. So there we go;one of life’s mysteries with a (hopefully) happy ending.

Thanks to the guys that posted, your efforts are genuinely appreciated. :waving_hand:
