Hi, I have the perks and I’d like to use the Railcard benefit to get a senior railcard for my mother. I’m not eligible for any railcard and I so rarely travel by train with my wife it’s not worth getting the couples railcard. Does anyone know if that’s allowed? I couldn’t seem to find out despite various google searches.

Based on the information on the help article linked below, Monzo simply gives you a code to use to purchase a Railcard (for £0). As such, there should be nothing stopping you from doing what you are describing here.

As far as I’m aware you are not allowed to share the perks of your account to others (unless on family plan) . This being said I’m not sure if there is anything stopping you.
This is all Monzo says in the Monzo Perks T&C’s.
So unless the code is generated based on how old Monzo thinks you are (based on the age you put in when applying for the account, which by law has to be accurate), then technically, there would be nothing stopping you from doing this.
If any other community members know a Mod who deals with this type of stuff then someone can @ them in. But otherwise, I think it will be fine.

But like I said I don’t think there is anything stopping others using it

It’s against the terms and conditions so you definitely shouldn’t do it but I think it’s just a discount code that you enter at checkout when purchasing.
