With their recent performance and the threat of collapse a while back I’m surprised anyone would hold such large amounts with them.
I tried them a while back but could never get on with them. Their mobile/online banking was too much of a faff.

Did you try their normal or private banking??
Normal at the time, getting private was jumping through too many hoops. Which I thought for them wasn’t really worth it for what I would be obtaining.
I wonder how many people do bank with them privately.
I know a good number of sport personalities who bank with them privately - their sports and entertainment team have excelled in that area for sure.
Normally holidays so they’ll arrange all the flights, car hire, connections and any restaurant bookings I may need for meetings, which is helpful if you cannot speak the local language.
They recently arranged our 17 night holiday to South Beach, Miami. They provided us with all the information and asked me to confirm we were happy to proceed.
They arranged the two hotels, car hire, private transfer, flights, airport hotel etc.
I find them more useful if you’re after something bespoke, as opposed to run of the mill.
So for special occasions they’re ideal.
Everyone’s needs are different, some will utilise the service, others will not.
Do you find you tend to use Coutts24 more or your assigned Private Banking Manager?
If it’s general enquiries I’ll use Coutts24, but if it’s account specific or borrowing related I’ll opt for the later.
I presume you have a Wealth Manager too (not sure if this only applies if they manage investments too, as I’ve always had both).
Revolut competing with Coutts?!
Grindr would be cool.
Jokes aside, I think the turnout will be surprisingly in Revoluts favour.
Many a comment of people spending 000,000s through Revolut yearly, showing confidence in the brand.
As someone who is single and lonely yes I agree!
They won’t be getting my money.
Plus Coutts already offers free foreign transactions linked to multiple currency accounts, so does their charge and credit products.
Mainly because most of their clients carry out business abroad, have property etc.
I’m still surprised that a fair few backs charge for foreign transactions.
Plus I need a branch.
No problem doing that here either.
You’re at more risk here (where they still don’t have a full banking license) than say, the EU.
I rather have security of a fully licensed bank than a flashy app with an EMI.
If you’re concerned about the fall of Revolut then yes, but I am not.
Not anything to do with their relaxed approach to crypto…?
What relaxed approach?
I see more people moan about crypto reviews than account reviews not related to crypto.
Nothing relaxed about it unless you’re being sarcastic.
Exactly, due diligence.
Definitely not relaxed.
I was comparing it with the likes of Chase, who block crypto payments.
Rev do have a bit of a reputation for being crypto friendly… 11 Best Crypto-Friendly Banks in the UK - 2025 Insights
I didn’t get the reference to the conversation.
Because there may be a gap in the market for private banking that allows whopping crypto transactions, and that might be why Rev are keen to offer something.
Oh.
Or just shooting for gold, higher deposits, increased revenue, profit profit profit.
