The prepaid card relies on another company to run it so even if Monzo do use prepaid cards again, it won’t be these or any others running on someone else’s back-end infrastructure.
That’s why I used to bank with Virgin Money. They’re the only high street bank that I’m aware of, which do not charge for Direct Debits & Standing Orders bouncing.
Their online banking facilities were terrible though. You basically couldn’t do anything besides view your transactions. They seemed to have downtime nearly every weekend too. It’s down again, tonight. I won’t miss them at all.

The option of keep the prepaid card as a virtual card or offer a virtual prepaid card could be possible?
Still the feature of freeze the card on the new current account ? I still on the prepaid system because is perfect for my use.
Yes! The current account is exactly the same as the prepaid programme but with more stuff like Pots and a sort code/account number
