I love the penny challenge but is there anyway it could be an option too start with the highest amount first if you wanted too? As personally i would rather get those ones out the way first

Reverse 1p Saving Challenge

I love the automation of the 1p savings challenge but it would be great if you could do it in reverse. £3.65 on day 1, £3.64 on day 2 and so on. Saving more while motivation is highest and seeing the pot grow more quickly would help maintain focus. Plus at the more expensive end of the year, when we are all paying for Christmas you’d only have to find small amounts of money across December.

That is a great concept as you get the larger saves out of the way first, starting with the larger amounts may make the struggle feel simpler. As you get the larger saves out of the way first, starting with the higher sums could make the effort seem easier.

Monzo won’t implement this. Until then, DIY using a sheet which tells you how much to save on a daily/weekly/monthly basis in any combination of Monzo 1x, Monzo 2x, Monzo 4x or manual forward/reverse:
